Review : San San Age Defense Make-up Set

I bought this last month during the sale for Php170 but original price is Php200. It's a complete collection of four eye shadows, two blushes, a face powder and a lip palette with seven shades. I got mine in number 02 which has a green quad. It's a little less 3 1/2 inches in length and around 2 1/2 inches in width which is a good size to bring with. It has a brush for the blush and a dual end lip brush and sponge tip applicator. They aren't much useful if you ask me specially the blush brush because it shed a lot but would still do if you have no better option.

I've seen a lot of make-up sets like this but so far this is my favorite packaging. I like the fact the lip palette is separated from the powder ones and that the face powder have its own case too because I hate it when the powder mixed with the cream ones and seeing eye shadow dusts on my face powder.

My First FOTD : Blue Lit Fountain

This will be my very first FOTD post and honestly, I'm not sure if there will be more after this (depends if you want more =^x^=). I still wanted to try though and hope you would appreciate it. This will also be my entry for Celline08 of Product Arena's Giveaway/Contest. (You can click here for more info)

The giveaway is about the Holiday Festivities. Two winners will be chosen for the contest and two will also be randomly picked for consolation prizes. If you don't have a blog, you can simply post your looks on her fan page. Deadline of entries was suppose to be on the 31st of December but she moved it till 10th of January (still plenty of time to create the look =^-^=). Unfortunately, this is only open for Phlippine residents.

Let's move on with the look.

The Inspiration :
I took a photo from my friend's album on Facebook (Michael Belmonte Sagun). It's a picture of  a water fountain by the mall entrance with blue tiles and white lights placed on where the water is coming out ( I think...). Looking at the drops of water, I thought it looks like Christmas lights so I suppose it's a good choice.

Review : Wet n Wild Ulitmate Eybrow Kit

Finally, my latest post is up. My pc broke and I got so busy with work, I wasn't able to blog much. I'm really sorry for that. Anyway, I hope you enjoy reading this review.

I got this from Pure Beauty at Ayala Mall for Php399. I was only thinking of buying a brow pencil but decided to get this one instead. I've been using this for only a month but this is definitely one of my favorites as of the moment. It has two colors of brow powder, light and dark tone, a brow gel, tweezers which is useful to me because I pluck, a small angled brush and  a mirror underneath.

Both powders are really pigmented. I use the darker color to form the arch of my brow to the ends and use the lighter one to fill in the rest. I honestly prefer to use this than a brow pencil. It creates that strong and full brows without that drawn look that you get from a pencil. Since the brush is really fine and soft, I also use this on my lash line. It doesn't last long unlike a real liner but its good to emphasize your eyes without too much drama and get a naturally full looking lashes for that effortless day look and it doesn't transfer like other eyeliners I've tried.

Review : Maxfactor Duo Eyeshadow in Shooting Star

I got really excited when I saw the Maxfactor counter at the then newly opened SM Olongapo. I'm a little disappointed though because there's not much in there unlike Revlon's and Maybelline's counter. There are a few colors available but I chose this one since it's more suitable for work.

There's nothing much about the package. It's as simple as it can be. It's compact and light weight so it's easy to bring along. There's a sponge tip applicator included, about an inch long, but personally, I don't really like using it. It's just to small for me to use.

Review : Careline Eyeshadow Quad (Soul)

The entire package is light, compact and easy to use on the go since it comes with four sponge applicator. It's cute at first sight but it's not really that functional for the following reasons:
You can only use the applicator that comes with it since the open area is really small for a brush to fit in.
    • It seems like it may pass through the divider and mix with other colors so don't shake it much.
    • It will need a lot of shaking when you're running out of eye shadow to make use of the entire 20 grams.
    • If you want to depot them you may, but it's not gonna be easy. You can either use the opening where the sponge goes through or remove the lid underneath like I did.

Haul : Ladies Accessories and Make up (SM Mall)

Hello ladies, I just want to share with you a few stuffs that I bought from SM San Fernando and SM Olongapo from late January to mid of February.

The 1st are bags. I was planning to buy from 'egg' ( a line of bag ) but I changed my mind after seeing that the departments store is having up to 50% sale. The first that I got was an old rose bag from Secosan which is originally Php999 but I only got it for only Php895. The second, also from Secosana, cost me Php550 with an original price of Php895. The style of the second bag looks a bit mature. It can also be bulky even without much things inside because of its structure but I just love the way the compartments keep my things organize. Note that these Secosana bags are made of rubberized leather so it must be properly kept to keep it from wearing out fast.

Review : San San Waterproof Eyeliner Pen and Long Lash Mascara

    San San Waterproof Eyeliner Pen

I was really excited when I saw this because it's in a pen form, it's waterproof and totally affordable. it also has a felt tip. I've been using liquid eyeliner and comfortable with using a liner brush but I just prefer using this one because it's easier to handle when I'm in a hurry. I really had high expectations with this one. It works for me there are a few things I'm disappointed about. The package says waterproof so I tested it. It is water resistant bu it is not water proof at all. Another thing I didn't like about it is that it creates a harsh thick line when i try to apply it several times. It doesn't last that long too.

    Review : Nichido Volume Mascara

Let's start with the brush... The brush is compact and a little too thick for my taste. I wouldn't advise this for those with really short lashes because it can scratch your lids and become messy during application.

The solution is really thick so it can hold your lashes for a long period. Great for those with thick and stubborn eyelashes that points down. One thing about it is it may pile up into chunks so you need to wait till it dries before adding your second coat.

Review : Ever Bilena 24 Eyeshadow Palette

I was looking for an EB Advance 24 E/S palette featured in Judy's channel from itsjudytime. Unfortunately, they ran out of stock and all I was able to buy was this 24 E/S palette.

I think you can find some of the colors in this palette from their 12 E/S palette previously released and EB Advance palette that I was looking for.

Reveiw : Eco Tools - Bamboo 6 Piece Eye Brush Set

As mentioned on my previous post, this is the first product I bought online ( My First Online Purchase ). Other than being affordable, I read some good reviews on this set. It's environment friendly too. You might think it's a bit much for it's original price since I got it for Php560 from Barat Mode but considering the shipping fee (which was free when I bought it ) I say it's fair enough.

The plastic pack is thick and reusable and the entire package is light weight. Really suitable for travelling.

The actual case is really simple though. There are no extra pockets or anything for other stuffs. Just something to hold the brushes with, which is really tight, and a rectangular mirror.

The mirror is really thin but I think it's unlikely to break. I can't quite put my finger on it but there's something different about the mirror other than being too thin. Somehow I feel like the reflection of the mirror is that of a wrapping foil only a lot clearer.

The brushes are like 4 1/2  inch long with the brand and name of brush engraved on its handle. The bristles are really soft and compact. I have no major complains about it. The angled crease brush may seem too big, but it's actually just perfect.

I've washed it three time and didn't shred one piece of hair. The brushes still look and feel the same as it was brand new.

Review : Affordable Make-up Brush Sets in Manila

Divisoria must be the first place to come to your mind when thinking about buying anything affordable in Manila. But honestly, its just too big and crowded for me to handle. So I went to Quiapo instead to look for make-up brushes. I found one for a really low price of P180 for 12 pieces with brush roll.

It's brandless but the quality is not that cheap at all. The bristles are soft and the handles are sturdy. I think these are the same brushes they use on small salons. Although I did loss a few strands with the powder and blush brush after combing it.
